The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Tiberiu Iuga came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Alexandria Team08 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiberiu Iuga couldn't finish the play. Laurențiu Popescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Orti in the 10th minute of the match. Laurențiu Popescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Jon, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13thth minute of the game Ignacio Derwin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alexandria Team08's Laurențiu Popescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nereo Henry received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Laurențiu Popescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laurențiu Popescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Orti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Goma got free with Ambrosio Quilino in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Goma in the 27th minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Ambrosio Quilino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Marlin FC's Nereo Henry in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Bogdan Goma charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bogdan Goma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 44 played minutes Alexandria Team08 got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Goma. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Amânaloae stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geronimo Isadore during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Marlin FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Geronimo Isadore hit a great ball. In the 56th minute of the match Marcu Bilașco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ambrosio Quilino skillfully saved the ball. Ambrosio Quilino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogdan Goma, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Pablo Orti kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ambrosio Quilino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Spirea in the 75th minute of the match. Marlin FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Guaberto Quico in the 81st minute. Guaberto Quico made a great header on Marlin FC's corner, it was just that Alexandria Team08's Laurențiu Popescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
