Hudiksvalls United's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 56th minute, Ging Root left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. But to his dismay, Leo Campana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. After some careless play in the Hudiksvalls United defense, Alexander Trasatti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonny Almqvist. The Hudiksvalls United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonny Almqvist should have stopped the shot. Jonny Almqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Campana in the 98th minute of play.
