The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Circus BAF's Luís Fábio Cunha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. A hard shot 11 in the game by Luís Fábio Cunha from a close distance when the talented Severino Herena managed to make a qualified save. Independiente's players were relieved. In the 13th minute, Ronald Van Achteren reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Severino Herena. The goal made the score 2-0. The supporters of Independiente booed when Circus BAF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Martínez Gullotta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severino Herena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Fábio Cunha's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After 28 minutes, Leonel Ordono mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Independiente and the Circus BAF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th minute, Leonel Ordono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fábio Cunha scored 4-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Herena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Severino Herena was a little too slow when Luís Fábio Cunha got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 5-0. 41 minutes into the match, Circus BAF's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Hanot came free, but Amador Paublo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

53 minutes into the match, Luís Fábio Cunha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Herena. Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Fábio Cunha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Abdel Masoud Ghannouchi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 61 minutes of play, Circus BAF's Luís Fábio Cunha made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severino Herena was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fábio Cunha in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Herena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gary Medel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Severino Herena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Circus BAF made a substitution. Christopher Rutgeerts replaced Gary Medel. Circus BAF made a substitution. Kobe Mesmaeckers replaced Luís Fábio Cunha. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kobe Mesmaeckers in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Severino Herena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute Lautaro Martínez Gullotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Herena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kobe Mesmaeckers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severino Herena having to make a save. 78 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Kobe Mesmaeckers came free, but Severino Herena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Kobe Mesmaeckers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Herena. A sloppy throw-in by Gaudencio Harri in the 89th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Circus BAF's Liu Hao Zheng. Independiente's Severino Herena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christopher Rutgeerts in the 91st minute of play. Xu Ran Ning hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Kobe Mesmaeckers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
