In the 3rd minute Róbson Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilie Brumaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Róbson Loyola ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilie Brumaru was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Conrado Azevedo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Ilie Brumaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Beto Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Relyn Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beto Trigo in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Brumaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gheorghe Chițan fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Cosula-BTF-'s protests and gave Gheorghe Chițan a yellow card for diving instead. 26 minutes into the match, FC Cosula-BTF-'s goal looked a bit too open when Beto Trigo came free, but Ilie Brumaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Edvaldo Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilie Brumaru was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. Edvaldo Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Gheorghe Chițan got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Edvaldo Amaral took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ilie Brumaru. FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edvaldo Amaral in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilie Brumaru prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Relyn Futebol Clube's Juan Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Relyn Futebol Clube from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Edvaldo Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Relyn Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvaldo Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilie Brumaru breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Beto Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilie Brumaru was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Ilie Brumaru came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Relyn Futebol Clube's Edvaldo Amaral. But to his dismay, Edvaldo Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olimpiu Teodorescu to make the kick off. When Octav Buta fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. A hard shot by Edvaldo Amaral from long distance, 52 minutes into the match, got Ilie Brumaru's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 55th minute, Beto Trigo made a precise shot to the right of Ilie Brumaru. FC Cosula-BTF-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Ilie Brumaru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvaldo Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Conrado Azevedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ilie Brumaru, 0-5. When Beto Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Relyn Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beto Trigo couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute, Osvaldinho Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beto Trigos short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Ilie Brumaru to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 83rd minute, Edvaldo Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Relyn Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Hamílton Alves hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edvaldo Amaral got free with Ilie Brumaru in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Ilie Brumaru got control of the ball when Edvaldo Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line.
