Kaká da Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kaká da Silva almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ornitorrincos F.C.'s César Bertrand did a great save. Kaká da Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but César Bertrand firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 16th minute of the match O MOTIVO ⚽ got a corner. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kaká da Silva ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kaká da Silva made a great header on O MOTIVO ⚽'s corner, it was just that Ornitorrincos F.C.'s César Bertrand managed to reach the ball for a save. Duardo Pruniel scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dida Braga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee ignored O MOTIVO ⚽'s protests and gave Luís Linhares a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, O MOTIVO ⚽'s Luís Linhares got a free kick in the 43rd minute. 47 minutes into the game, Otávio Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. O MOTIVO ⚽'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ornitorrincos F.C. the free kick. A collision led to O MOTIVO ⚽ getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Otávio Leme hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kaká da Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jaume Jarabran took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Braga. Dida Braga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Dida Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duardo Pruniel in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Ornitorrincos F.C. getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Modestio Jina hit a great ball. After 60 played minutes O MOTIVO ⚽ got a freekick which was hit by Luís Linhares. The audience was convinced that Kaká da Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César Bertrand was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. O MOTIVO ⚽'s Dida Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save O MOTIVO ⚽ from getting a goal against them. Bernardo de Salles hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Duardo Pruniel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Dida Braga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 72nd minute Duardo Pruniel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duardo Pruniel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Dida Braga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 82nd minute, Bernardo de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86thth minute of the game Duardo Pruniel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but O MOTIVO ⚽'s Dida Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Duardo Pruniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dida Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Zapata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ornitorrincos F.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
