Bruno Carciofo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute, Eraldo Di Matteo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Strömsbro IF's Michael Bredberg got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th minute, Tony Skarkman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Strömsbro IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Tony Skarkman might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Carciofo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The supporters of Cesate booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Ek didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Michael Bredberg put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Carciofo. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Bredberg made a kick off. Cesate's Bruno Carciofo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Bredberg in the 52nd minute of play. Tony Skarkman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Carciofo came out and tried to block the shot, but Tony Skarkman slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 63rd minute. Bruno Carciofo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Bredberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Tony Skarkman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Carciofo having to make a save. 85 minutes in the game Donato Santoro did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Antonio Talone. Bruno Carciofo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tony Skarkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tony Skarkman got free in front of the goal in the 95th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Bruno Carciofo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The Strömsbro IF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Strömsbro IF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
