The referee ignored Hamburg Fighters's protests and gave Walt Schräder a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Machine Gun Kelly booed when Hamburg Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walt Schräder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matthew Jastrzembowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nemesio Acuña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Wulf-Dieter Schwarze had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carolo Ruisko. Machine Gun Kelly's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wulf-Dieter Schwarze was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 34th minute, Nemesio Acuña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hamburg Fighters's Matthew Jastrzembowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nemesio Acuña in the 37th minute of play. Matthew Jastrzembowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cayetano Ihintza's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. A collision led to Machine Gun Kelly getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Anier Herena hit a great ball. Kilian Gutrath could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Carolo Ruisko made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Carolo Ruisko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luka Reich's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Acuña came free, but Matthew Jastrzembowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute Machine Gun Kelly were awarded a corner. Basilio Pello went to the cornerflag to take it. Machine Gun Kelly's Basilio Pello was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matthew Jastrzembowski in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Carolo Ruisko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kilian Gutrath, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A collision led to Machine Gun Kelly getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jeremias Hitz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Moises Venceslas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Machine Gun Kelly's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Venceslas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Jastrzembowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matthew Jastrzembowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cayetano Ihintza in the 74th minute. Cayetano Ihintza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luka Reich took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carolo Ruisko. Carolo Ruisko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Machine Gun Kelly's Carolo Ruisko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kilian Gutrath in the 85th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Machine Gun Kelly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Unai to maneuver through the defense. Kilian Gutrath kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. There was no doubt that Hamburg Fighters were the better team. Hamburg Fighters's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
