Igor Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Catarinense having to interfere. Marcos Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lia Crucet in the 6th minute. Octavio Lauaxeta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Poveda, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Marco Raymon kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 10 minutes into the game, when Teodoro Havier put in a rough tackle. Mateus Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes Simbo FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Pitin. AVAÍ F.C.'s André Luiz Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Pitin charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberto Pitin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alberto Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gabriel Poveda to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Augusto Penha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AVAÍ F.C. and the Simbo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 51 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Penha. In the 57th minute Mauricio Jurdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Catarinense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateus Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lia Crucet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 67 minutes, Victoriano Banegas made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. AVAÍ F.C.'s Marcos Catarinense tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Simbo FC's Flor Petera was substituted for Segundo Neron. Simbo FC made a substitution. Feliberto Mouricio replaced Alberto Pitin. AVAÍ F.C.'s Leopoldo Toscano was substituted for Fernandão Arce. Octavio Lauaxeta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gabriel Poveda in the 75th minute. The supporters of Simbo FC booed when AVAÍ F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Lauaxeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Mota in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, AVAÍ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lis Tagliani came free, but Marcos Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Simbo FC got a corner. AVAÍ F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lia Crucet ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wágner Cearense thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Marcos Catarinense, a very annoying self made goal in the 88th minute which led to 2-2. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind AVAÍ F.C.'s goalkeeper Marcos Catarinense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
