The referee ignored Daustad's protests and gave Helge Fonnes a yellow card for diving instead. When Dag Ose fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Daustad's protests and gave Dag Ose a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Dag Ose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Görkem Ayaydın in the 46th minute of play forced Daustad's goalkeeper Idar Istad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
