In the 7th minute, Jerry Söderqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva Simões was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. PND Fotboll's Jonathan Hägglund got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute Jens-Ove Lundqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abel Matorin struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Svante Backlund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ. In the 22nd minute, Agnaldo Sampaio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Svante Backlund, passed just outside the right post. Doriva Simões made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ove Lundqvist in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to PND Fotboll getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Bengt-Rune Örtendahl hit a great ball. With a little luck, PND Fotboll's Svante Backlund got control of the ball when Júnior Tinoco tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Agnaldo Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Svante Backlund was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. A collision led to PND Fotboll getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Jerry Söderqvist hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jens-Ove Lundqvist was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Matorin during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Abel Matorin got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Svante Backlund came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ's Marcel Queirós. But to his dismay, Marcel Queirós quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Svante Backlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. PND Fotboll's Svante Backlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Queirós in the 85th minute of play. When Marcel Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Queirós couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the PND Fotboll players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CA Metropolitano - FSCMZ.
