Erwin Oneill hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Venceslao Solares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ahmet Hayri Vedat, 1-0. If Harrison McCann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Harrison McCann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ahmet Hayri Vedat came out and tried to block the shot, but Harrison McCann slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 34th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goal looked a bit too open when Erwin Oneill came free, but Emil Zátopek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Zátopek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickie Bourque in the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Hurricanes FC's Kenny Granger got a free kick in the 44th minute. After 46 minutes of play Hurricanes FC's Erwin Oneill was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 47 played minutes Hurricanes FC got a freekick which was hit by Erwin Oneill. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute Harrison McCann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmet Hayri Vedat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 55 minutes on the clock, Agustin Laisné commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.
