Emil Zátopek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Fransson in the 14th minute of the match. Jonatan Aspvik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emil Zátopek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play, Glentown FC's Jonatan Aspvik made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Zátopek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Glentown FC were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Internacional Pechofrío's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henry Eriksson took the corner. 31 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Aspvik came free, but Emil Zátopek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emil Zátopek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Internacional Pechofrío's Rómulo Gallegos got a free kick in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harrison McCann to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Glentown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Harrison McCann came free, but Olov Ahlquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Internacional Pechofrío booed when Glentown FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Krister Wästerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Internacional Pechofrío's Rómulo Gallegos got a free kick in the 75th minute. Glentown FC's Jonatan Aspvik got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Glentown FC's Henry Eriksson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Emil Zátopek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Glentown FC played a much better game than Internacional Pechofrío and deserved their victory. The Internacional Pechofrío players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
