The crowd rose to their feet as Athletic Club Larrondo's Jose Ramon Pedregal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Florin Quelia. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. 8 minutes into the match, Athletic Club Larrondo's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Pereta came free, but Lester Oñederra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Golden Dragón F.C's corner Joaquim Pereta fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Lester Oñederra quite easily take care of the ball. In the 17th match minute, Athletic Club Larrondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tinguaro Ferreccio to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 22 minutes, Bertran Bolonga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Dragón F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertran Bolonga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquim Pereta struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Lester Oñederra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golden Dragón F.C. Lester Oñederra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Pereta in the 28th minute of the match. Golden Dragón F.C's Florin Quelia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Dragón F.C from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd match minute, Golden Dragón F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chaime Alamon to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Pereta in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lester Oñederra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Athletic Club Larrondo's Ariel Montellano got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 46 minutes into the game, Joaquim Pereta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Dragón F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Athletic Club Larrondo the free kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bertran Bolonga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Golden Dragón F.C's attentive Dalmau Tecla managed to snatch the ball when Pere Simaverti made a throw-in in the 51st minute of the game. A collision led to Golden Dragón F.C getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Bertran Bolonga hit a great ball. With a little luck, Athletic Club Larrondo's Lester Oñederra got control of the ball when Joaquim Pereta tried to sneak it across the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Ariel Montellano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Florin Quelia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lester Oñederra made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Joaquim Pereta sent off a good shot on target. Golden Dragón F.C's Florin Quelia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Cauffmann in the 66th minute of play. Joaquim Pereta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lester Oñederra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Marcelino Parker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rius Elvira in the 78th minute of play forced Athletic Club Larrondo's goalkeeper Lester Oñederra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Athletic Club Larrondo's goalkeeper Lester Oñederra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Feliberto Cauffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osasun Rebenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Lester Oñederra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Athletic Club Larrondo's goalkeeper Lester Oñederra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rius Elvira. Lester Oñederra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Pereta in the 90th minute of the match. With 92 minutes on the clock, Arsenio Lanzon commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Golden Dragón F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Athletic Club Larrondo:s goal. Florin Quelia went to the wrong direction when Feliberto Cauffmann was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The Athletic Club Larrondo players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
