Paulino Orixe hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Paulino Orixe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lester Oñederra having to interfere. In the 9th minute of the match, Eusebio Paskal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lester Oñederra saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 11 minutes, Feliberto Cauffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Athletic Club Larrondo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Cauffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Athletic Club Larrondo were furious when Andoni Grove was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Athletic Club Larrondo:s Lester Oñederra showed great skill when he stopped Paulino Orixe:s penalty. Eloy Vela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ariel Montellano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Athletic Club Larrondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Cauffmann to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute of the match Paulino Orixe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lester Oñederra skillfully saved the ball. Eloy Vela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Montellano, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, Jose Ramon Pedregal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Athletic Club Larrondo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eloy Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Ramon Pedregal in the 43rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Agustín Muga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Athletic Club Larrondo's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustín Muga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Vela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ariel Montellano made a kick off. If Ariel Montellano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Hugo Trumbull got free with Eloy Vela in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Salmuera CP from getting a goal against them. Agustín Muga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Vela having to interfere. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelino Parker in the 64th minute of play. After 65 minutes, David Mellado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Athletic Club Larrondo and the Salmuera CP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lester Oñederra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Paskal in the 68th minute of the match. Atilano Medardo charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atilano Medardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd minute, Atilano Medardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Salmuera CP from getting a goal against them. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Ramon Pedregal in the 77th minute of play. Athletic Club Larrondo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Feliberto Cauffmann in the 78th minute. The corner led Athletic Club Larrondo's Feliberto Cauffmann to fire away a dangerous shot which Eloy Vela despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Ariel Montellano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eloy Vela. Salmuera CP's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Montellano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Eloy Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Athletic Club Larrondo's Agustín Muga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eloy Vela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Athletic Club Larrondo's Lester Oñederra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Orixe in the 93rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Victor Hugo Trumbull got free with Eloy Vela in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jose Ramon Pedregal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Athletic Club Larrondo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
