The corner led La Scaloneta's Nicanor Ramos to fire away a dangerous shot which Eloy Vela despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salmuera CP's goalkeeper Eloy Vela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eloy Vela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Garoa in the 13th minute of play. La Scaloneta's Lolo Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Orixe in the 15th minute of play. Emanuel Garoa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 50th minute of the match Iker Prejun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lolo Lorenzo skillfully saved the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Salmuera CP's Samuel Gorbea got a free kick in the 57th minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Scaloneta reached it. 59 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Garoa came free, but Eloy Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Emanuel Garoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Vela was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Emanuel Garoa put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Eloy Vela. Salmuera CP's Eusebio Paskal got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Garoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Eloy Vela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Many of Salmuera CP's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Salmuera CP may have spent more time on the ball, but La Scaloneta were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
