After 4 played minutes Salmuera CP got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Raebert. 8 minutes into the match, Green Zombies's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Tabby came free, but Lajos Vásárhelyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lajos Vásárhelyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulino Orixe, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute Salmuera CP were awarded a corner. Paulino Orixe went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Green Zombies booed when Salmuera CP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guaberto Daunte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zoltán Csonka scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eloy Vela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Green Zombies's Zoltán Csonka in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Green Zombies's supporters rose to their feet, but Zoltán Csonka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eloy Vela breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 27 minutes, Adolfo Tabby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Salmuera CP and the Green Zombies players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Salmuera CP's zone, Medárd Irmai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eloy Vela came out of the goal and Medárd Irmai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35th minute Medárd Irmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Green Zombies's Péter Nyitrai got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 44th match minute, Green Zombies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Halász to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Green Zombies getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Medárd Irmai hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zoltán Csonka to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Medárd Irmai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloy Vela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoltán Csonkas short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Eloy Vela to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Green Zombies's Lajos Vásárhelyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fidel Mouricio in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Orixe in the 64th minute of play forced Green Zombies's goalkeeper Lajos Vásárhelyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Salmuera CP's Eloy Vela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Salmuera CP from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Green Zombies booed when Salmuera CP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ubaldo Raebert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Green Zombies's Lajos Vásárhelyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Tabby in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nándor Gera got free with Eloy Vela in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Zoltán Csonka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eloy Vela was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. After 88 played minutes Green Zombies got a freekick which was hit by Nándor Zolnai. 90 minutes into the match, Salmuera CP's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Csonka came free, but Eloy Vela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eloy Vela didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zoltán Csonka went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Green Zombies eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
