Jacinto de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norbert Garland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 4 minutes into the match, Milanis E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Garland came free, but Jacinto de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute Flames FC were awarded a corner. Micheal Burnham went to the cornerflag to take it. Jacinto de Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Norbert Garland went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 15thth minute of the game Norbert Garland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Milanis E.C.'s Jacinto de Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Milanis E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flames FC the free kick. In the 29th minute Norbert Garland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto de Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto de Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horace Vaughn in the 49th minute of play. After the first half Flames FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Júlio Pombal made the kick off in the second half. Flames FC's Margarito Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Mazza in the 55th minute of play. Norbert Garland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Jacinto de Azevedo made a huge save. Horace Vaughn's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jacinto de Azevedo firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Milanis E.C. booed when Flames FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beau Hinojosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flames FC's Orval Crow got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
