The throw-in from Jaime Simão in the 9th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by A.S. Udinese's Michael-Peter Koenig. A.S. Udinese's Gigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdir da Silva in the 13th minute of play. Jaime Simão charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaime Simão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute, Jaime Simão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of A.S. Udinese booed when Divina Comédia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Ernesto Delle Donne got a free kick in the 24th minute. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Motta in the 26th minute of play. After 26 minutes, Eraldo Motta made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Divina Comédia FC's Rogério Ceni tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 31 played minutes, Divina Comédia FC's Valério Cordeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gigi Donnarumma came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Divina Comédia FC reached it. 36 minutes into the game, Carmine Bontempi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rogério Ceni. Carmine Bontempi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Gigi Donnarumma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedê Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Pedrão Paraense in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gigi Donnarumma, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, A.S. Udinese's Gigi Donnarumma got control of the ball when Valdir da Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valério Cordeiro hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Rogério Ceni came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by A.S. Udinese's Eraldo Motta. But to his dismay, Eraldo Motta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Bontempi in the 90th minute of play forced Divina Comédia FC's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Divina Comédia FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
