After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Fermín Buendia got a free kick in the 7th minute. In the 11th minute of the match, Robert Seychell tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gustavo Gustavson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Wayne Schembri Zerafa's late challenge caught a New Joinville - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 24 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Xandinho Thuram. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ateş Direnç in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute Robert Seychell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gustavson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ateş Direnç recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clayton Gerada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ateş Direnç, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Clayton Gerada came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by New Joinville - FSCMZ's Ateş Direnç. But to his dismay, Ateş Direnç quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrew Miggiani kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gustavo Gustavson. That made the score 1-1 in the 42 minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 50 minutes, Ademir Breckenfeld mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New Joinville - FSCMZ and the Seraċini Għawdxin players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 50th match minute, New Joinville - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. Andrew Miggiani took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Gustavson. Gustavo Gustavson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ateş Direnç in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clayton Gerada saved Seraċini Għawdxin from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, Robert Seychell notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo Gustavson. Gustavo Gustavson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo Gustavson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Seychell, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Ronnie Xande charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronnie Xande the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to New Joinville - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ronnie Xande hit a great ball. New Joinville - FSCMZ's Gustavo Gustavson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antoine Bugelli in the 71st minute of play. 73 minutes in the game, Antoine Bugelli dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a rather tough play, New Joinville - FSCMZ's Xandinho Thuram got a free kick in the 74th minute. 86 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when New Joinville - FSCMZ's Ateş Direnç fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 88 minutes into the game, Andrew Miggiani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Gustavo Gustavson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antoine Bugelli in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustavo Gustavson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the match, New Joinville - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Andrew Miggiani came free, but Gustavo Gustavson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes New Joinville - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Xandinho Thuram. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Seraċini Għawdxin had played much better football throughout.
