Seraċini Għawdxin were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Azul Y Plomo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Richard Pavia took the corner. Cristian Diegotxe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrew Miggiani went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Azul Y Plomo's Cristian Diegotxe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Azul Y Plomo from getting a goal against them. Cristian Diegotxe was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robert Seychell showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 44 minute of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrew Miggiani was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Diegotxe was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Seraċini Għawdxin. Cristian Diegotxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Miggiani in the 79th minute of play. In the 84th minute, Robert Seychell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristian Diegotxe was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Antoine Bugelli got a free kick in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Seychell in the 88th minute of play forced Azul Y Plomo's goalkeeper Cristian Diegotxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogerio Arcos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 91 minutes into the game, Robert Seychell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Cristian Diegotxe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. James Buttigieg took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristian Diegotxe. Cristian Diegotxe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Seraċini Għawdxin fully deserved thier win.
