The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hans-Erik Oslands short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Emilio Cellucci to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 13 minutes into the match Hans-Erik Osland climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Emilio Cellucci. Halvard Hestvik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciccio Bozzelli in the 18th minute of the match. Halvard Hestvik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Pari in the 22nd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Ciccio Bozzelli notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Laniakea's Halvard Hestvik. Halvard Hestvik was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Laniakea's Adam Sandbakken got a free kick in the 38th minute. When the match had been going on for 43 minutes, Laniakea's Eilert Nordlie got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Emilio Cellucci. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Jo Skinstad kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 57 minutes of play, S.S.C. NAPOLI's Ciccio Bozzelli made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Halvard Hestvik was left in no man's land by his defense there! Armando Barone struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Halvard Hestvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.S.C. NAPOLI. 68 minutes into the match, S.S.C. NAPOLI's goal looked a bit too open when Hans-Erik Osland came free, but Emilio Cellucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emilio Cellucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans-Erik Osland in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans-Erik Osland in the 72nd minute of play forced S.S.C. After a defensive mix-up in S.S.C. NAPOLI's zone, Eilert Nordlie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Cellucci came out of the goal and Eilert Nordlie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
