In the 7th minute Benjamin De Mitri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aadil Al Harban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aadil Al Harban acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 9th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Sergio Dantae. 13 minutes into the match, Golden Tigers's goalkeeper Aadil Al Harban had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benjamin De Mitri. Benjamin De Mitris short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Aadil Al Harban to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Abdul Rahman Al Youha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan De Mitri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij in the 23rd minute of play. Jonathan De Mitri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruud van Nistelrooij, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nippur de Lagash 2 were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Golden Tigers's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulises Isusko took the corner. The corner led to Nippur de Lagash 2's Ulises Isusko getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 47 minutes into the game, Abdul Rahman Al Youha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Tigers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nippur de Lagash 2 the free kick.

Benjamin De Mitri might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aadil Al Harban. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin De Mitri ran back to his position shaking his head. Benjamin De Mitri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. After 64 played minutes Nippur de Lagash 2 got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Ihintza. Jonathan De Mitri was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Naem Al Khaled. Nippur de Lagash 2's Osvaldo De Mitri was substituted for Ricardo Ihintza. Nippur de Lagash 2's Virgilio Emenon was substituted for Ulises Isusko. Ricardo Ihintza kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Aadil Al Harban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin De Mitri in the 71st minute of play. When Nippur de Lagash 2's Benjamin De Mitri in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Aadil Al Harban tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Benjamin De Mitri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aadil Al Harban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benjamin De Mitri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nippur de Lagash 2's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
