Fernanco Abarca replaced Khairul Swee. After 9 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Jonatán Maidana. A collision led to River CBBA getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tobias Abarca hit a great ball. Leonard Moizuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Alberto Chilavert having to interfere. José Alberto Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match River CBBA got a corner. Golden Tigers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tobias Abarca ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Milton Casco to score against José Alberto Chilavert in Golden Tigers's goal. 0-2 after 24 minutes. A collision led to Golden Tigers getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Mortada Al Khames hit a great ball. After 37 minutes of play, River CBBA's Tobias Abarca made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Alberto Chilavert was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute, Milton Casco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Basem Al Baghli kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Abarca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hakem Khorshed, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. José Alberto Chilavert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Abarca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, River CBBA's goal looked a bit too open when Hakem Khorshed came free, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tobias Abarca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Golden Tigers booed when River CBBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Abechuco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's King Sputore got a free kick in the 68th minute. José Alberto Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milton Casco, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Golden Tigers's José Alberto Chilavert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Tigers from getting a goal against them. Milton Casco struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. José Alberto Chilavert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River CBBA. 90 minutes into the match, Cheng Ang Ning had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Alberto Chilavert. Golden Tigers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cheng Ang Ning was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 94th minute, Cheng Ang Ning got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
