Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After having played for 11 minutes, Remus Voican managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Remus Voican was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mugurel Bleoancă made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Mauro Bastos sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Voican in the 39th minute of play forced Lekparken FC's goalkeeper Sigge Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were awarded a corner. Nistor Predescu went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Dorin Zegreanu got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sigge Holmberg quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mugurel Bleoancă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Måns Stålman took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Mugurel Bleoancă to make any attempt to save it. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Cyryl Kiewra in the 53rd minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Mugurel Bleoancă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Björn Jernberg hit a great ball. Daddy Gol scored 1-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sigge Holmberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 73rd minute Remus Voican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sigge Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Cyryl Kiewra came free, but Mugurel Bleoancă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sigge Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remus Voican, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
