The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. It was beautiful to see Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Nistor Predescu in action when he in the 14th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Jonathan De Mitri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Aldulescu in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Florin Cosor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan De Mitri was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Marian Aldulescu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonathan De Mitri. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Sebastian Dziura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Jonathan De Mitri made a huge save. In the 34th match minute, Nippur de Lagash 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Navarro to maneuver through the defense. Nippur de Lagash 2's Jonathan De Mitri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Aldulescu in the 36th minute of play. Ricardo Ihintza charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Ihintza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marian Aldulescu to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Sebastian Dziura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan De Mitri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 63rd match minute, Nippur de Lagash 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bartolo De Mitri to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan De Mitri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Dziura in the 65th minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Marian Aldulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nippur de Lagash 2's Jonathan De Mitri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marian Aldulescu scored 3-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan De Mitri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marian Aldulescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan De Mitri having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Florin Cosor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan De Mitri was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. In the 82ndth minute of the game Marian Aldulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nippur de Lagash 2's Jonathan De Mitri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Nippur de Lagash 2 booed when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Traian Ionașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Sebastian Dziura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Dziura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan De Mitri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Nippur de Lagash 2 defense, Marian Aldulescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan De Mitri. The Nippur de Lagash 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan De Mitri should have stopped the shot. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
