After 3 minutes of play, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Kent Melander made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardinho Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joseph Hjälm scored 2-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardinho Guerra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Grêmio FBPA's Bernardinho Guerra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio FBPA from getting a goal against them. Joseph Hjälm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 16 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Pontus Blomqvist came free, but Bernardinho Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Grêmio FBPA's Bernardinho Guerra got control of the ball when Joseph Hjälm tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Joseph Hjälm cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bernardinho Guerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joseph Hjälm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Bernardinho Guerra made a huge save. After taking down the ball on Grêmio FBPA's corner Gildo Fantini fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mattias Asper quite easily take care of the ball. Kent Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joseph Hjälm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Bernardinho Guerra made a huge save. Bernardinho Guerra was a little too slow when Joseph Hjälm got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-0. Mattias Asper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Zonta in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Edu Zonta came free, but Mattias Asper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio FBPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gildo Fantini in the 49th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gildo Fantini to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Pontus Blomqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardinho Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Stig-Åke Ennegren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio FBPA the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Stig-Åke Ennegren got a free kick in the 54th minute. Bernardinho Guerra came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Kent Melander. But to his dismay, Kent Melander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Bernardinho Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Hjälm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Johan Mjällby fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's protests and gave Johan Mjällby a yellow card for diving instead. Johan Mjällby kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Grêmio FBPA defense, Joseph Hjälm kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardinho Guerra. The Grêmio FBPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardinho Guerra should have stopped the shot. Grêmio FBPA's Bernardinho Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joseph Hjälm in the 72nd minute of play. Ademir de Amaral hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bernardinho Guerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Joseph Hjälm's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho Guerra was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Bernardinho Guerra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joseph Hjälm's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. After 89 minutes of play, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Joseph Hjälm made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardinho Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute, Kent Melander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grêmio FBPA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK.
