In the 3rd minute Kent Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 minutes Grêmio FBPA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Magne Hellbom who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's corner Magne Hellbom fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rui Varela quite easily take care of the ball. In the 10th minute Joseph Hjälm shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK booed when Grêmio FBPA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Hjälm, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When Diamantino Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio FBPA's protests and gave Diamantino Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grêmio FBPA getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Diamantino Barbosa hit a great ball. Kent Melander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pontus Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Varela having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Pitta came free, but Tobias Lidman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Kent Melander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joseph Hjälm scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rui Varela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kent Melander in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Varela saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. Joseph Hjälm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Varela having to interfere. Rui Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Melander in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Kent Melander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Varela was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Stig-Åke Ennegren got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute, Joseph Hjälm made a precise shot to the right of Rui Varela. Grêmio FBPA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Konrad Sundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joseph Hjälm blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rui Varela having to make a save. 44 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Melander came free, but Rui Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th match minute, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Gran to maneuver through the defense.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joseph Hjälm made a kick off. With a little luck, Grêmio FBPA's Rui Varela got control of the ball when Joseph Hjälm tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Kent Melander made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rui Varela came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Joseph Hjälm. But to his dismay, Joseph Hjälm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When Samuel Kjellberg fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's protests and gave Samuel Kjellberg a yellow card for diving instead. Samuel Kjellberg kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Joseph Hjälm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Rui Varela made a huge save. If Joseph Hjälm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Rui Varela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rui Varela was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Kent Melander capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kent Melander really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Thanks to some nice moves Joseph Hjälm could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Rui Varela however easily saved by the left post. After 85 minutes of play, Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Joseph Hjälm made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rui Varela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Armando Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joseph Hjälm got free with Rui Varela in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the match, Pontus Blomqvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rui Varela, 0-7. Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
