The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Anfilogino Chiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Anfilogino Chiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Sazon having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Anfilogino Chiola kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joel Sazon. That made the score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Joel Sazon made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Beppe Zoff sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th minute of the match, Amerigo Toninelli tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joel Sazon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to INFIERNO KSK getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Severiano Claus hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaspar Viator in the 17th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Domenico Sabatino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arturo Bonelli kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Domenico Sabatino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Aznaro in the 19th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, INFIERNO KSK's goalkeeper Joel Sazon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amerigo Toninelli. In the 32nd match minute, INFIERNO KSK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Maiorga to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Amerigo Toninelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sorci Viola's supporters rose to their feet, but Amerigo Toninelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Sazon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. INFIERNO KSK were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Sorci Viola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Justo Chepe took the corner. The corner ended in Justo Chepe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Sorci Viola's Domenico Sabatino did a great save. Joel Sazon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Chiola in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anfilogino Chiola to make the kick off. After some careless play in the INFIERNO KSK defense, Anfilogino Chiola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Sazon. The INFIERNO KSK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Sazon should have stopped the shot. Joel Sazon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmondo Bertini, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Anfilogino Chiola notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of INFIERNO KSK's Joel Sazon. Joel Sazon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Joel Sazon was left in no man's land by his defense there! 86 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's Beppe Zoff sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Sazon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Amerigo Toninelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Amerigo Toninelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Beppe Zoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Sazon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sorci Viola had won after a very even match.
