It was a well-played corner which Emanuel Queiroga managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. João Paulo de Sena hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Sport Club Mavericks's Telmo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Dantas in the 24th minute of play. 26 minutes into the game, Luizão Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Club Mavericks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ADCR Loreto United FC the free kick. Luizão Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Telmo de Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vítor Dantas's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Guerreiro in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hilário Salgado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The ADCR Loreto United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hilário Salgado should have stopped the shot.
