After 8 minutes Tapa Red F.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pieter Theissen who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Tapa Red F.C's goalie and right to Klaas Jan Klaassen. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Tapa Red F.C's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 12 played minutes Tapa Red F.C got a freekick which was hit by Caradaro Rossell. Riemer Mulders struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Tuncer Polathan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Albertus FC. Tuncer Polathan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Riemer Mulders, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Riemer Mulders sped through Tapa Red F.C's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tuncer Polathan. Riemer Mulderss short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Tuncer Polathan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The corner ended in Caradaro Rossell almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Albertus FC's Leendert Borg did a great save. Kang Sen Xu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tuncer Polathan made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Riemer Mulders sent off a good shot on target. Riemer Mulders who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Tuncer Polathan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 45th minute Klaas Jan Klaassen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tuncer Polathan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Albertus FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
