Gwidon Cwojdak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Adelino Freire made a huge save. Adelino Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 余永川 in the 23rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Triforce Super Soccer's Adelino Freire got control of the ball when Isidro Ferman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adelino Freire made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Ibar in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Ibar got free with Adelino Freire in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Arthur Bufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Pombal in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th match minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristi Saron to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 71st minute 余永川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Cruzeiro Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. There was no doubt that Cruzeiro Esporte Clube were the better team. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
