The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Robescu got free with Baldomero Asteri in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baldomero Asteri made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Bogdan Bogdanović sent off a good shot on target. Roberto Herensuge kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Club 23's Dacian Săraru broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 12 minutes of play, Club 23's Bogdan Bogdanović made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomero Asteri was left in no man's land by his defense there! Baldomero Asteri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Bogdanović in the 15th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Bogdanović came free, but Baldomero Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club 23 getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ferdinand Voicu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filomeno Hodei in the 23rd minute of play forced Club 23's goalkeeper Sören Malmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, Bogdan Bogdanović notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Despidida AFC's Baldomero Asteri. Baldomero Asteri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nae Lalescu during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Nae Lalescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Despidida AFC's Baldomero Asteri got control of the ball when Cássio Dracena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Baldomero Asteri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baldomero Asteri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Robescu in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute, Cássio Dracena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club 23 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. 57 minutes into the game, Emanuel Robescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Baldomero Asteri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club 23's Cássio Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gaston Gar hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Gar to maneuver through the defense. If Bogdan Bogdanović had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Baldomero Asteri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Bogdanović, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Bogdan Bogdanović quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After a defensive mix-up in Despidida AFC's zone, Bogdan Bogdanović stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Asteri came out of the goal and Bogdan Bogdanović tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bogdan Bogdanović sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Club 23 fully deserved thier win.
