After some careless play in the Buitenhout FC defense, Dmitry Ilyushin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximino Cristofanini. The Buitenhout FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximino Cristofanini should have stopped the shot. Maximino Cristofanini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Dmitry Ilyushin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximino Cristofanini having to make a save. The Merusca F&P - CIMZ fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Dmitry Ilyushin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buitenhout FC's goalkeeper Maximino Cristofanini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 16th minute of the match Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a corner. Buitenhout FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gilberto Massa ran over to the corner to take the kick. 17 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Franz Dubosq had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Koos Alberts. Maximino Cristofanini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dmitry Ilyushin in the 28th minute of the match. When Buitenhout FC's Koos Alberts in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koos Alberts in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franz Dubosq saved Merusca F&P - CIMZ from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Koos Alberts came free, but Franz Dubosq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match, Ferry Hebels got a very nice opportunity to score, but Franz Dubosq was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ferry Hebels struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Franz Dubosq didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buitenhout FC. Maximino Cristofanini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Franz Dubosq took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobus Spoel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koos Alberts stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dmitry Ilyushin in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maximino Cristofanini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 54 minutes into the match, Buitenhout FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dmitry Ilyushin came free, but Maximino Cristofanini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Dmitry Ilyushin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Dmitry Ilyushin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maximino Cristofanini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Jacobus Spoel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Franz Dubosq was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 77th minute, Dmitry Ilyushin made a precise shot to the right of Maximino Cristofanini. Buitenhout FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Walmir Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Maximino Cristofanini made a huge save. Dmitry Ilyushin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maximino Cristofanini having to make a save. In the 84thth minute of the game Dmitry Ilyushin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buitenhout FC's Maximino Cristofanini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Dmitry Ilyushin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximino Cristofanini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The Merusca F&P - CIMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Merusca F&P - CIMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
