Yanick Verschelde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 6 minutes into the game, Cesar Gil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Yanick Verschelde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 11 played minutes YR Mechelen got a freekick which was hit by Andries Mangelschot. Cesar Gil took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yanick Verschelde. Yanick Verschelde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Miguel Van Mechelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yanick Verschelde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Agurto in the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Franklin Agurto notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of YR Mechelen's Yanick Verschelde. Yanick Verschelde was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Yanick Verschelde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Gil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yanick Verschelde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cesar Gil went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Miguel Van Mechelen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Carman Jobson made a huge save. Franklin Agurto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yanick Verschelde read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Cesar Gil made a precise shot to the right of Yanick Verschelde. YR Mechelen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Andries Mangelschot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Carman Jobson made a huge save. 43 minutes into the game, ORION F.C.'s Franklin Agurto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yanick Verschelde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-8 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cesar Gil was the one to do the kick off. If Agustin Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, ORION F.C.'s Felipe Arauz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yanick Verschelde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jozef Van Acker to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Wang Yao Xing hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andries Mangelschot took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carman Jobson. Carman Jobson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. In the 74th minute of the match, Felipe Arauz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yanick Verschelde saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. YR Mechelen's Yanick Verschelde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Gil in the 76th minute of play. Yanick Verschelde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Arauz, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the game, ORION F.C.'s Felipe Arauz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yanick Verschelde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-9. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Gil in the 82nd minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Yanick Verschelde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
