Rüştü Recber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dan Stelaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in HORIZZONT's zone, Emil Inculeț stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rüştü Recber came out of the goal and Emil Inculeț tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rahim Sidam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Vlad Voican tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Stelaru in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rüştü Recber prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Stelaru was the one to do the kick off. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Robert Vătavu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valdemar Mertlík, made in the 60th minute of the game. Dan Stelaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. HORIZZONT's Rüştü Recber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save HORIZZONT from getting a goal against them. Dan Stelarus short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Rüştü Recber to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Dan Stelaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rüştü Recber having to make a save. Rüştü Recber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Stelaru in the 72nd minute of play. If Dan Stelaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dan Stelaru got free with Rüştü Recber in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 played minutes Dan Stelaru rounded HORIZZONT's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Stelaru in the 85th minute of play forced HORIZZONT's goalkeeper Rüştü Recber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mirza Yazargil's late challenge caught a MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mirza Yazargil helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Mirza Yazargil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rüştü Recber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Stelaru in the 88th minute. Gheorghe Zmărăndache kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
