Anacleto Lluciano kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. América-SC F.C.'s Gaston Roderigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hrvoje Prodanović in the 11th minute of play. Leonel Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Nadal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Travassos in the 15th minute of play forced Gondor FC™'s goalkeeper Rafa Nadal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Gaston Roderigo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Pihlberg. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Cleithon Ortiz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elfar Elrond got free with Gaston Roderigo in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaston Roderigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Safet Sušić, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute Edgar Pihlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Roderigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Roderigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elfar Elrond in the 38th minute of play. With a little luck, América-SC F.C.'s Gaston Roderigo got control of the ball when Elfar Elrond tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to América-SC F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Cleithon Ortiz hit a great ball. Gondor FC™'s Safet Sušić got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Henrique stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gondor FC™ made a substitution. Hamid Hamedović replaced Elfar Elrond. Rafa Nadal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington Bezerra in the 62nd minute. After 67 played minutes América-SC F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Secco. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Alfredo Secco got a free kick in the 68th minute. The supporters of Gondor FC™ booed when América-SC F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st match minute, América-SC F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Hamid Hamedović made a precise shot to the right of Gaston Roderigo. América-SC F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Rafa Nadal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Washington Bezerra in the 78th minute. Rafa Nadal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Henrique, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in América-SC F.C.'s zone, Avdo Seslija stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaston Roderigo came out of the goal and Avdo Seslija tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Gondor FC™ getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Hamid Hamedović hit a great ball. Gaston Roderigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Pihlberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
