The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arif Babürşah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. HORIZZONT's Rüştü Recber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fellipe Travassos in the 6th minute of play. Rüştü Recber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Pitta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Medeiros in the 19th minute of play forced HORIZZONT's goalkeeper Rüştü Recber to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaston Roderigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaşar Akbuğ in the 42nd minute of the match. After 43 minutes América-SC F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Yaşar Akbuğ who took care of the corner kick. After 44 minutes, Bora Han Vahit mouthed his way into the referee's book. Eliézer Azevedo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Gaston Roderigo, a very annoying self made goal in the 53rd minute which led to 1-1. HORIZZONT's Rüştü Recber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save HORIZZONT from getting a goal against them. Gaston Roderigo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaşar Akbuğ in the 61st minute of play. In the 68th match minute, América-SC F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleithon Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Rüştü Recber made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Otávio Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. HORIZZONT's Yaşar Akbuğ got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdemar Mertlík received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Gaston Roderigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90thth minute of the game Yaşar Akbuğ who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but América-SC F.C.'s Gaston Roderigo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, América-SC F.C.'s Cleithon Ortiz got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Rahim Sidam notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of América-SC F.C.'s Gaston Roderigo. Gaston Roderigo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The HORIZZONT fans cheered their team off the field, for while América-SC F.C. had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
