Monumento Sports's Natanael Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Monumento Sports from getting a goal against them. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's attack was well implemented in the 15th minute, but when Narciso Chavarri was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Valentín Olveira hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Lopes came free, but Ladislao Mazurkiewicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Luo Cheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Lopes in the 28th minute of play forced Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's goalkeeper Ladislao Mazurkiewicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natanael Sena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 45 minutes into the game, Luo Cheng recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Natanael Sena. Luo Cheng showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The corner went over the outstretched arms of Monumento Sports's goalie and right to Celio Campa. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Monumento Sports's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Zhang Cheng Ping came free, but Natanael Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute, Narciso Chavarri left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 93 minutes into the match, Monumento Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Chavarri came free, but Natanael Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Luo Cheng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luo Cheng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fully deserved thier win.
