Andrzej Köpke stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Firman Gomar's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goal looked a bit too open when Firman Gomar came free, but Andrzej Köpke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robinson Paterson in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrzej Köpke saved Cosmos 1984 NewDance from getting behind. Eugeniusz Poremba hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Centenario Bohemio's Carlo Lattanzio got a free kick in the 15th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Firman Gomar in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrzej Köpke saved Cosmos 1984 NewDance from getting behind. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firman Gomar in the 20th minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goal looked a bit too open when Firman Gomar came free, but Andrzej Köpke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrzej Köpke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firman Gomar, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kryspin Jaroszewicz in the 29th minute of play forced Centenario Bohemio's goalkeeper Ignacio Bessone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kryspin Jaroszewicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Robinson Paterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Köpke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Eugeniusz Poremba got his second yellow card of the match in the 38th minute. The referee ordered Eugeniusz Poremba off the ground. Eugeniusz Poremba hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute Robinson Paterson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Köpke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Firman Gomar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Robinson Paterson sped through Cosmos 1984 NewDance's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andrzej Köpke. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Firman Gomar in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrzej Köpke prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Firman Gomar was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Jan Jaraczeski got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Andrzej Köpke successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Arkadiusz Wnukowski came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Cosmos 1984 NewDance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arkadiusz Wnukowski couldn't finish the play. Kryspin Jaroszewicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Bessone having to interfere. With a little luck, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke got control of the ball when Firman Gomar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Roman Pacifico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Centenario Bohemio fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Firman Gomar got free with Andrzej Köpke in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Firman Gomar in the 73rd minute of play. Andrzej Köpke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Firman Gomar in the 76th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Firman Gomar put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Andrzej Köpke. Maximiliano Javiero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Andrzej Köpke made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Lisandro Beti got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Andrzej Köpke quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
