In the 3rd minute Tommy Sundberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrzej Köpke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 3rd minute, Tommy Sundberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pihl United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 11thth minute of the game Tommy Sundberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Fryderyk Paraszczuk in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pihl United's Chico Dias. With a little luck, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke got control of the ball when Tommy Sundberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Waselewicz came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Andrzej Köpke could save by the left post. In the 17th match minute, Pihl United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luc Fontaine to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match, Daniel Waselewicz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andrzej Köpke was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 21st minute, Tommy Sundberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pihl United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 23 minutes into the match, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Sundberg came free, but Andrzej Köpke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes Cosmos 1984 NewDance's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luc Fontaine who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Pihl United's Luc Fontaine to fire away a dangerous shot which Andrzej Köpke despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 26th minute Kryspin Jaroszewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gottfrid Haström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Sundberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Pihl United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 28th minute, Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tommy Sundberg fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Andrzej Köpke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Sundberg in the 28th minute. The supporters of Pihl United booed when Cosmos 1984 NewDance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkadiusz Wnukowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's Andrzej Köpke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy Sundberg in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Tommy Sundberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pihl United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tommy Sundberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrzej Köpke was a little too slow when Daniel Waselewicz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 6-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tommy Sundberg made a kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Andrzej Köpke, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Sundberg in the 55th minute of play forced Cosmos 1984 NewDance's goalkeeper Andrzej Köpke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pihl United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luc Fontaine in the 57th minute. Tommy Sundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Andrzej Köpke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmos 1984 NewDance's zone, Tommy Sundberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrzej Köpke came out of the goal and Tommy Sundberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Tommy Sundberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andrzej Köpke was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. In the 74th minute, Daniel Waselewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Sundberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Andrzej Köpke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andrzej Köpke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommy Sundberg went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. After 87th play minutes Tommy Sundberg shot 10-0, a short shot which went by Andrzej Köpke and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 92nd minute, Tommy Sundberg made a precise shot to the right of Andrzej Köpke. Cosmos 1984 NewDance's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. Nicolaas Anelka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Andrzej Köpke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pihl United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cosmos 1984 NewDance for a fine match.
