After 46 played minutes, Chaponnay FC's Eduart Rrustemi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aimilios Manolas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chaponnay FC reached it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karl-Oskar Jonsson to make the kick off. Aimilios Manolas made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Renaud Houzet sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renaud Houzet got free with Aimilios Manolas in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Uptown Otters's Aimilios Manolas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Rannou in the 53rd minute of play. Aimilios Manolas made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Kevan Brossier sent off a good shot on target. Karl-Oskar Jonsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dilan Bobet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Oskar Jonsson ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Chaponnay FC booed when Uptown Otters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position.
