Moisés da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Norberto Quadros scored 1-1 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aimilios Manolas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Reis could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Aimilios Manolas however easily saved by the left post. 18 minutes into the game, Raí Paraibano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio Papão de WC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uptown Otters the free kick. In the 17th minute, one of Grêmio Papão de WC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grêmio Papão de WC. In the 21st minute Uptown Otters were awarded a corner. Liviu Zubaşcu went to the cornerflag to take it. After 34 minutes of play, Grêmio Papão de WC's Alberto Reis made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aimilios Manolas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aimilios Manolas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute, Fabian Kaszubowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Uptown Otters's Rolando Tearle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moisés da Silveira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Liviu Zubaşcu was the one to do the kick off. Alberto Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aimilios Manolas having to interfere. Fabian Kaszubowski took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Moisés da Silveira. Moisés da Silveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uptown Otters's goalkeeper Aimilios Manolas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th match minute, Grêmio Papão de WC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. Dadá Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aimilios Manolas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Grêmio Papão de WC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Augusto Weidt hit a great ball. Uptown Otters's Staffan Bergman was substituted for Karl-Oskar Jonsson. In the 71st minute, Dadá Amorim ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aimilios Manolas was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Naldo Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Grêmio Papão de WC's Moisés da Silveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Papão de WC from getting a goal against them. Moisés da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Staffan Bergman in the 85th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dadá Amorim in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aimilios Manolas saved Uptown Otters from getting behind.
