After 3 minutes, Jame Gilliam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marshrose and the Trindade Atlético Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marshrose's Jame Gilliam got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Carson Kilgore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jame Gilliam in the 6th minute of play. Vânderson Zanette might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carson Kilgore. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vânderson Zanette ran back to his position shaking his head. After 12 minutes, Igor Maranhense made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Marshrose's Carson Kilgore tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 16 minutes, Blair Mélançon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marshrose's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blair Mélançon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 17 minutes of play, Trindade Atlético Club's Vânderson Zanette made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carson Kilgore was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marshrose's Carson Kilgore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Marshrose from getting a goal against them. Jame Gilliam was shown his second yellow card after 22 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Marshrose getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jame Gilliam hit a great ball. Marshrose's Carson Kilgore proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Marshrose from getting a goal against them. When Trindade Atlético Club's Vânderson Zanette in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marshrose's goalie prevented a goal. 33 minutes into the match, Vânderson Zanette dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Carson Kilgore, 4-0. The audience was convinced that Giovani Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carson Kilgore was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Igor Maranhense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Carson Kilgore made a huge save. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Trindade Atlético Club's goalkeeper Edmílson Britto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carson Kilgore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Blair Mélançon was the one to do the kick off. Edmílson Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brice Bergman in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Igor Maranhense made a precise shot to the right of Carson Kilgore. Marshrose's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 57 minutes into the match, Marshrose's goal looked a bit too open when Vânderson Zanette came free, but Carson Kilgore reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Trindade Atlético Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davi Camargo to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, Jason Charron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marshrose's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trindade Atlético Club the free kick. In the 60th minute, Jason Charron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carson Kilgore came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Vânderson Zanette. But to his dismay, Vânderson Zanette quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 64th minute, Vânderson Zanette ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carson Kilgore was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Marshrose's Blair Mélançon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmílson Britto. That made the score 7-1 after 68 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Igor Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carson Kilgore breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th match minute, Trindade Atlético Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. Blair Mélançon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carson Kilgore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Maranhense in the 79th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Edu Nóbrega got a free kick in the 80th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Maranhense in the 83rd minute of play forced Marshrose's goalkeeper Carson Kilgore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carson Kilgore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Zanette in the 93rd minute of play forced Marshrose's goalkeeper Carson Kilgore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marshrose players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Trindade Atlético Club.
