After 19 minutes of play, Celestiales's Severino Gaskon made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vaggelis Pantelidis was left in no man's land by his defense there! 25 minutes into the game, GREEN LIONS's Demis Laggizos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaias Beliran made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Raul Vargass short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Vaggelis Pantelidis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of GREEN LIONS booed when Celestiales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Henry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isaias Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demis Laggizos in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Demis Laggizos in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaias Beliran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The GREEN LIONS fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when GREEN LIONS's Demis Laggizos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Filippos Kopelis took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Isaias Beliran. Isaias Beliran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Gerasimos Vasilarakos managed to get in a good position for a shot. GREEN LIONS's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerasimos Vasilarakos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaias Beliran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Celestiales players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GREEN LIONS were winning 1-3.

Isaias Beliran made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Demis Laggizos sent off a good shot on target. If Ignatios Papachronakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 65th minute GREEN LIONS were awarded a corner. Filippos Kopelis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Filippos Kopelis almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Celestiales's Isaias Beliran did a great save. The GREEN LIONS fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when GREEN LIONS's Demis Laggizos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Isaias Beliran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ignatios Papachronakis in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Demis Laggizos lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Isaias Beliran. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Demis Laggizos hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute, Kostas Vakaros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 84 minutes, Raul Vargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celestiales's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raul Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the GREEN LIONS defense, Severino Gaskon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vaggelis Pantelidis. The GREEN LIONS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vaggelis Pantelidis should have stopped the shot. A collision led to GREEN LIONS getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Kostas Vakaros hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Raul Vargas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Celestiales fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5.
