Neville Smythe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Lobo in the 10th minute of the match. Ricardo Lobo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Neville Smythe skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 13 minutes into the game, Ricardo Lobo lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Neville Smythe. In the 19th minute of the match SITIO CITY got a corner. FC Johannesburg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Armindo Carvalhal ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ricardo Lobo made a great header on SITIO CITY's corner, it was just that FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe managed to reach the ball for a save. Manuel Liberato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Liau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Neville Smythe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Luís Carvalho had several of the FC Johannesburg's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 21 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Neville Smythe as he didn't even see the shot coming. Maurício Brandão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Neville Smythe made a huge save. After 25 played minutes FC Johannesburg got a freekick which was hit by Reinhardt Steyn. The long shot by Armindo Carvalhal in the 26th minute really tested Neville Smythe's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Neville Smythe was a little too slow when Luís Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 3-0. SITIO CITY's Manuel Liberato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinhardt Steyn in the 30th minute of play. Dimas Maciel succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 33rd playminute. Neville Smythe was a little too slow when Luís Carvalho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 5-0. 41 minutes into the match, FC Johannesburg's goalkeeper Neville Smythe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Lobo. Reinhardt Steyn kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Neville Smythe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Carvalho in the 44th minute.

Ricardo Lobo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Neville Smythe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SITIO CITY. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Lobo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neville Smythe was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 54thth minute of the game Luís Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rui Morais fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neville Smythe having to interfere. Dimas Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Luís Carvalho put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Neville Smythe. A collision led to SITIO CITY getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Rúben Neiva hit a great ball. In the 75th match minute, FC Johannesburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reinhardt Steyn to maneuver through the defense. Neville Smythe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dimas Maciel in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Luís Carvalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neville Smythe was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Cobus Bischoff's late challenge caught a SITIO CITY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cobus Bischoff helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Cobus Bischoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the game, Luís Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Neville Smythe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Neville Smythe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Lobo went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SITIO CITY had played much better football throughout.
