When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Iker Boruc took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Neville Smythe to make any attempt to save it. Iker Boruc took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neville Smythe. Neville Smythe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 8th minute, Piotr Osikowicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 14 minutes into the game, Aubrey Serage was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Johannesburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ the free kick. Aubrey Serage hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Neville Smythe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Piotr Osikowicz in the 16th minute. When Reinhardt Steyn came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC Johannesburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinhardt Steyn couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, FC Johannesburg's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Boruc came free, but Neville Smythe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 20 played minutes FC Johannesburg got a freekick which was hit by Dalton Kinnaird. 21 minutes into the match, Iker Boruc notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe. Neville Smythe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 24 minutes, Iker Boruc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Iker Boruc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Iker Boruc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iker Boruc in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Neville Smythe saved FC Johannesburg from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Piotr Osikowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Piotr Osikowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neville Smythe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tristan Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Neville Smythe made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Iker Boruc sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iker Boruc in the 36th minute of play forced FC Johannesburg's goalkeeper Neville Smythe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Johannesburg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Benito Laurin was slow to take the kick. During this time ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s players had a chance to rest. Benito Laurin made a great header on ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s corner, it was just that FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe managed to reach the ball for a save. When Iker Boruc came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Boruc couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Reinhardt Steyn made the kick off in the second half. Aubrey Serage was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 51 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Johannesburg fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! FC Johannesburg:s Neville Smythe showed great skill when he stopped Iker Boruc:s penalty. 56 minutes into the match, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Iker Boruc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Neville Smythe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 58 minutes into the game, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Iker Boruc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neville Smythe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 61stth minute of the game Iker Boruc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stanton Klaasens charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stanton Klaasens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ booed when FC Johannesburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stanton Klaasens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Piotr Osikowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the game, ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™'s Iker Boruc nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Neville Smythe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Iker Boruc put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Neville Smythe. 77 minutes into the match, Iker Boruc notched a goal, 10-0, to the right of FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe. Neville Smythe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iker Boruc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Neville Smythe having to make a save. 83 minutes into the match, FC Johannesburg's goal looked a bit too open when Iker Boruc came free, but Neville Smythe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Iker Boruc came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ fans jumped to their feet. In the 87th minute, Iker Boruc made a precise shot to the right of Neville Smythe. FC Johannesburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Johannesburg's zone, Iker Boruc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neville Smythe came out of the goal and Iker Boruc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Neville Smythe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iker Boruc in the 92nd minute of play. FC Johannesburg's Neville Smythe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iker Boruc in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the ֆքօʀȶɨռɢ ʊǟɨ ʍʐƈ™ players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
