But to his dismay, Billy Andersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 23 minutes into the match, Gabriel Ståhlman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Neville Smythe. FC Johannesburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Ståhlman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The crowd rose to their feet as Bispmotala BK's Billy Andersson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Neville Smythe. That made the score 0-7 after 52 minutes of play. Billy Andersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Neville Smythe made a huge save. Gabriel Ståhlman received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Neville Smythe came out and tried to block the shot, but Gabriel Ståhlman slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 57th minute. When the match was over Bispmotala BK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Johannesburg throughout the match.
