Reinhardt Steyn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 15th minute Oto Bažant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Neville Smythe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Leopold Dolejší cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Neville Smythe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopold Dolejší in the 28th minute of play forced FC Johannesburg's goalkeeper Neville Smythe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eugen Šandor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Liau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of FK Řitka booed when FC Johannesburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aubrey Serage didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon Liau in the 36th minute of play forced FK Řitka's goalkeeper Eugen Šandor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Blecha in the 38th minute of play forced FC Johannesburg's goalkeeper Neville Smythe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tristan Nunes kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Johannesburg's Henk-Jan Fortuin got a free kick in the 49th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinhardt Steyn made a kick off. The supporters of FK Řitka booed when FC Johannesburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henk-Jan Fortuin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Leopold Dolejší left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FK Řitka fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Neville Smythe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leopold Dolejší in the 67th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, one of FC Johannesburg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for FK Řitka. Ignác Cienciala stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Neville Smythe. 4-0. If Tomáš Vik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Johannesburg getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Dalton Kinnaird hit a great ball. Aubrey Serage got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 94th minute, Jan Blecha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Neville Smythe was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After 98 played minutes FC Johannesburg got a freekick which was hit by Tristan Nunes. When Leopold Dolejší came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the FK Řitka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopold Dolejší couldn't finish the play.
