Wieslaw Maziarski might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christian Wenerdahl. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wieslaw Maziarski ran back to his position shaking his head. If Wieslaw Maziarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Wenerdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wieslaw Maziarski in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Maziarski in the 13th minute of play forced IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper Christian Wenerdahl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes of play, KS LEW Chorzów's Wieslaw Maziarski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christian Wenerdahl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wieslaw Maziarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of IFK Göteborg booed when KS LEW Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachariasz Niedbalski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bianco Arcari during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Christian Wenerdahl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikolaj Budzynski went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Wit Kasperowicz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Ove Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 32 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Mikolaj Budzynski came free, but Christian Wenerdahl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Mikolaj Budzynski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KS LEW Chorzów fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. When Bianco Arcari was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. A collision led to IFK Göteborg getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Bianco Arcari hit a great ball. After the first half KS LEW Chorzów were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mikolaj Budzynski made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mattias Kilman during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 61 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Kilman. Wit Kasperowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Ove Blomkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mikolaj Budzynski 66 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Christian Wenerdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Budzynski in the 69th minute of the match. Mattias Kilman hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Christian Wenerdahl came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by KS LEW Chorzów's Wieslaw Maziarski. But to his dismay, Wieslaw Maziarski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. Mikolaj Budzynski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Wenerdahl having to make a save. Wieslaw Maziarski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wieslaw Maziarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Christian Wenerdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikolaj Budzynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, IFK Göteborg's Mattias Biörkman got a free kick in the 86th minute. Wieslaw Maziarski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Christian Wenerdahl. IFK Göteborg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Mattias Biörkman kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Christian Wenerdahl made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Wieslaw Maziarski sent off a good shot on target. When Wlodzimierz Zbikowski fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KS LEW Chorzów's protests and gave Wlodzimierz Zbikowski a yellow card for diving instead. Wlodzimierz Zbikowski kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes IFK Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Biörkman. In the 92nd minute, Mikolaj Budzynski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Christian Wenerdahl, passed just outside the right post. Christian Wenerdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikolaj Budzynski in the 92nd minute of the match. Mikolaj Budzynski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Wenerdahl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikolaj Budzynski in the 96th minute of play. The KS LEW Chorzów supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KS LEW Chorzów would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
