Augustus Batalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann in the 4th minute of play. Cristian Hoffmann took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augustus Batalla. Augustus Batalla dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Augustus Batalla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Hoffmann in the 13th minute of play. Cristian Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Augustus Batalla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Pendotiba's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Hanmark came free, but Evaristo de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Hoffmann in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Augustus Batalla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pendotiba's Evaristo de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt Colin in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Pendotiba's goalkeeper Evaristo de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leif Classon. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bror Hanmark got free with Evaristo de Andrade in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 27th minute, Ralles Bollklubb's Bror Hanmark dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Pendotiba's Evaristo de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bror Hanmark in the 33rd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Pendotiba's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Hanmark came free, but Evaristo de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leif Classon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Evaristo de Andrade firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 38 minutes Ralles Bollklubb's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardinho Trigo who took care of the corner kick. Augustus Batalla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Neves's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Bror Hanmark could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Evaristo de Andrade made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leif Classon to make the kick off. Örjan Isaksson got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Magne Blomqvist. Valdo da Costa hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 61st match minute, Pendotiba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yang Chuan to maneuver through the defense. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pendotiba's Paulo Neves in the 76th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Augustus Batalla was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Ralles Bollklubb through an amazing save. After a rather tough play, Pendotiba's Norberto Marques got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Jeferson Vale fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pendotiba's protests and gave Jeferson Vale a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Jeferson Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
